Anne Marie DeGirolamo is a good friend who has helped me keep up with physical fitness since the birth of our first daughters when we met in our mommy playgroup. Over the past 25 years, she has completed numerous certifications. She is a master pilates instructor, a nationally certified fitness professional with multiple specialties, and the owner and founder of Tonacity Fitness. She has always believed that movement gives us the ability to achieve life-changing agility, energy, and vitality, and her goal is to collaborate with her clients to provide them with the deep knowledge that they need to feel empowered. 

 

Today, Anne Marie joins me to talk about the power of exercise. We note that exercise is a great equalizer, and we talk about the link between physical and mental health. She discusses how COVID affected her business and offers her tips for getting back in shape. She notes the importance of movement and shares helpful advice on how to breathe well. She posits that women should not be resigned to the effects of childbirth (such as leaking), and she offers tips for consistency and persistence in your exercise regime.
