PC039 Political Contessa The Problem With the Debt Forgiveness Plan

Biden’s proposal for student debt forgiveness may seem promising on the surface, but it’s actually problematic and unfair for many reasons.

Today, I talk about these reasons. I share my own story of college debt, and I explore the problems with Biden’s debt forgiveness plan. I talk about whom the debt ends up falling on, I explain why it’s unfair, and I offer alternative plans.

“White collar workers with advanced degrees account for nearly half of the $1.6 trillion in outstanding federal student debt…What about the blue collar workers? Are we making them pay for that?”
