PC043 - Step Into the Grey Zone of Political Issues

Many politicians seem to believe there is a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to resolving most political issues. Whether it’s gun control, abortion, how to keep schools safe, or a plethora of other topics and issues that are currently considered ‘hot button topics’ in today’s society, most politicians believe they have ‘the answer’ for resolving these important issues. And with that, they also seem to be relatively close-minded on the other side’s perspective.

But like these issues, there is a grey zone in politics. And this grey zone is where I encourage you to step in and explore. To open your heart and mind and listen to other people’s perspectives so we can discover a clear path toward addressing these issues that are less ‘one-size-fits-all’ and more accepting of these grey areas of politics.

This week, I discuss why resolving political issues is not ‘one-size’fits-all’ and an ‘all or nothing’ approach is not the answer to addressing these issues. I explain why politicians need to be open and understanding of the grey areas surrounding these hot button topics like gun control, abortion, and transgender rights. I discuss why we need more politicians to be open to differing perspectives and how listening to both sides of an issue is how we can truly address these issues in a way that is suitable and acceptable for everyone. I also explain why I believe our current elected officials are failing us and why this is such a vital election year in American history.
