PC066 - It’s Time for a New Generation of Leaders
The political landscape is shaping up to be very interesting. Recently, former President Donald Trump announced his plans to run for the presidency again and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced she will be stepping down and passing the torch. While some people may think Speaker Pelosi’s decision to step down is to open the position to newer, younger aspiring leaders, others fear that Trump’s announcement may give the Democrats a renewed idea to encourage Biden to run for re-election.
This week, I share my thoughts on Trump’s and Pelosi’s recent announcements and why I believe it’s time for a new generation of political leaders. I share why Trump shouldn’t have been involved in the mid-term elections by endorsing various candidates and what voters often believe when a formerly-elected government official endorses a candidate. I also discuss the ‘red sprinkle’ that occurred during this year’s mid-term elections and reiterate why Republicans need to level up their messaging game and reconnect with their core values and principles.
