We’re only in the first month of 2023 but the political hits are already coming. Take the disgraced politician George Santos, for example. Santos, a Republican Member of Congress from the 3rd Congressional District of New York, lied about various things, from his family heritage to his professional career. And while his election into office will definitely not look great on the GOP, it’s his constituents that will suffer the most in the next two years because, instead of fighting for them, Santos will be busy fighting for himself.
In this episode, I discuss who George Santos is and his various lies and fabrications. I explain why doing oppositional research is crucial whether you’re running for office or supporting a political candidate. I discuss my problem with politics and describe why we need to call out hypocrisy on both sides of the political spectrum. I also highlight the value of electing someone who’s going to stand not just on their laurels but also on their values and morals and become good stewards of representation.
