Although most of us have turned over a new leaf in the new year with ambitions of doing better and being better people, the same cannot be said for the world of politics. This year is already off to a rough start - with so many interesting (and often, scandalous) stories shared all over the news, from the latest happenings with New York’s State Representative George Santos to what’s continuously occurring in Virginia’s school and, of course, the Biden-gate classified document scandal.
With so much negative press and negative stories being shared in the news about our politicians, how can we, the American people, ensure that our government moves forward with integrity and accountability?
Today, I discuss the massive amount of Democratic hypocrisy that is occurring in politics today. I share my thoughts on the Biden-gate scandal and why the way he handled classified documents during his tenure as Vice President isn’t very different from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago document case. I explain why these two cases are a great representation for why our country needs a newer generation in public office and how the Biden-gate document scandal is impacting President Biden’s reputation and perceived mission for creating more transparency in politics. I also share why I believe we need to bring back integrity and accountability in politics and what the American people can do to hold our elected officials accountable for their actions.
