PC063 - The Republican Voice: What We Need to Win the House
We are very close to the mid-term elections. What will happen on November 8 is anyone’s guess. As much as we’d all like to take out our crystal ball and predict who will be elected to each political seat, no one can truly anticipate who will claim victory – in any state or in any position. What we do know, however, is historically, whichever party holds the seat in the White House as well as both Chambers of Congress, that party typically loses in the mid-term elections. This year, since the Democrats currently hold both Chambers of Congress, they want Americans to believe that Republicans will only gain a few seats. That it won’t be a ‘red wave’ on Election Day.
But in reality – it is still extremely possible that the Republicans can – and will – double those numbers, resulting in a nice, comfortable majority in the House.
This week, I discuss what I believe Republicans need to consider to win the House. I share what I would like to see added to the Republican agenda once we win and why it’s critical for Republicans to leverage the opportunity to change the direction and narrative while creating strong policies that truly help the American voters. I explain why I believe the Republican Party of Massachusetts will fail to win the congressional seat. I also explain why all political seats, including the Speaker of the House, should be elected positions, instead of pre-ordained roles.
